There have been lots of complaintas about the Google Earth service since it was launched – countries claiming it compromises their security. Others claiming that things are being covered up, but here’s the most insidious of them all:

Key in coordinates 90 0.0 N 0 0.0 W and it will take you to the satellite images of the “north pole”.

Every schoolchild knows that’s the opening to the earth’s core, yet the north pole opening is mysteriously missing from the Google Earth service. Further, you can clearly see where they’ve “stretched” the satellite photos from the area around the pole to disguise the opening.

Who do they think they are fooling?!
