Introduction
Perhaps the greatest tragedy in human history, as we take our first steps into the 21st century, is the prevalent belief that all the mysteries of the world around us have been explained. The belief that every place and every thing has been discovered, catalogued, indexed and written down on little 3×5 cards in a library somewhere in the basement of an 18th century rococo building.
In that, science has done us a great disservice; we need more mystery in our lives, not less.
